In a world filled with endless competition, a strong brand identity is crucial for businesses to stand out and succeed. We know that — and having worked together in the past, Forwwward came with the challenge of expanding their brand identity to reflect their values.
Oh, we love a good challenge! We created a mood board to refine Forwwward's brand identity, and then translated key visuals into a communication strategy that reflects their personality through a distinctive tone of voice, while staying faithful to their logo and typography.
As an early-stage decentralized studio working remotely, they initially worked only with freelancers (including me as one of the pioneers), and they wanted to highlight that they were not the only ones facing clients. We used memojis as our direction to solve it, while maintaining consistency.
To maintain a strong connection with the previous brand, we incorporated the gradient element into the final brand expansion, while reinforcing Forwwward's forward momentum with directional elements. Together, these elements create a brand expression that feels confident, professional, and future-facing, but most importantly — fitting.
We embarked on a exploratory design process that involved numerous iterations, and revisions, was that 3, 4, 5? Yeah, the necessary to get it right.
Getting dizzy for all the spinning around, we finally got the direction. The website came out with a sweet spot between keeping the gradient elements and the directional elements for the brand universe (well not really, it still is on development, but you got the point).
Part of our process was understanding the website's strategies, and ensuring its scalability for future content. By fulfilling Forwwward's requirements, we established a straightforward and easy-to-use structure for case studies. Yes, that easy, no need to overcomplicate.
The website brings everything together into a cohesive world, incorporating neutral colors to emphasize the work — and, brought in a further look by playing with the grid layout.
